Governor's Scholars Announced
We are proud to announce that two BBHS juniors have been accepted to the Governor's Scholars Program for 2021. Congratulations to:
Son of George & Gina Csordas, St. Joseph Camp Spring
Son of Chris & Robin Holtz, St. Thomas
The Governor's Scholars Program strives to enhance Kentucky's next generation of civic and economic leaders. Established in 1983, the program provides academic and personal growth through the balance of a strong liberal arts program with a full co-curricular and residential life experience. Students must complete an application and compete with others from across the state. Those selected attend the program free of charge.
Jack McGarr Memorial Scholarship
Each recipient receives a $1,000.00 tuition assistance award as a result of their application essay and outstanding qualifications and recommendations.
Mitchell Orth Memorial Scholarship Winners
Bishop Brossart High School and the Orth, Luschek, and Elfers families are pleased to provide the Mitchell Orth Memorial Scholarship. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 tuition assistance award.
Winners were selected based on their personal application, essay, and recommendations.
Al Keller III Tuition Assistance Scholarship
These awards exemplify each student’s outstanding artistic accomplishments at their respective schools and their creative interests in the Fine Arts as a future career.
The Al Keller III Fine Arts Scholarship was established in 2003 in memory of the BBHS alumnus and graduate of the Class of 1980 who will be remembered for his distinct creative and passionate talents in fine arts.
Bryan J. Kraus Memorial Scholarship
The Bryan J. Kraus Memorial Scholarship provides the winners, who are incoming freshmen from St. Joseph Grade School, Cold Spring with a $1,000 award.
Lindsey Sendelbach Memorial Scholarships
Mr. & Mrs. Lou Sendelbach established the Lindsey M. Sendelbach Memorial Scholarship for graduating students and incoming freshmen from St. Joseph Camp Springs in memory of their daughter who graduated from St. Joseph Camp Springs in 1999 and from Bishop Brossart in 2003.
Each recipient will receive a $1,000 tuition assistance award for BBHS or their post-secondary education.
Dorothy Muehlenkamp Memorial Scholarship
The Dorothy Muehlenkamp Memorial Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen to BBHS.
Each winner will receive a $1,000.00 tuition assistance award. The criteria for the award included;
1) service to church, school or community, and 2) participation in extra-curricular activities.
Kathleen R. Luschek Community Service Scholarships
to Bishop Brossart High School
Bishop Brossart High School and the Luschek Scholarship Selection Committee award the annual Kathleen R. Luschek Community Service Scholarship.
Winners of this prestigious community service award, each student will receive a $500.00 Tuition Assistance award for the school year to Bishop Brossart High School.
The scholarship is sponsored by Mr. John Luschek Jr. and his family in memory of his late wife Kathleen.
Robert A. & Marion V. Munninghoff Scholarship Winners
The Robert A. & Marion V. Munninghoff Scholarship selection committee has reviews applications from students representing Bishop Brossart’s five district grade schools. Included in the applications were the recommendations from the student’s respective principal and the student’s personal essay entitled ”What Catholic Education Means To Me.”
As scholarship winners, each student receives a $1,000.00 tuition award for the school year to Bishop Brossart High School.
Michael C. Neltner Scholarships
The Michael C. Neltner Scholarship committee provides FIVE scholarship awards of $1,500 each .
On behalf of the winning students, their families and the entire BBHS community, we thank the Neltner Family for their continued support to fund this wonderful memorial in memory of Michael.
Merit Scholarships Announced
These are based on the HSPT results.
