Congratulations to our academic team!
Our school finished District Runners-Up overall and 10 individuals along with our quick recall team have advanced to Regional Governor's Cup in three weeks. Our quick recall team led the eventual champions, Campbell County High School, midway through the first half, but couldn't quite keep pace with the Camels. A 33-9 win over Highlands and a 32-11 victory over Calvary Christian secured our second place finish.
We had at least one medalist in every subject area. Individual winners were:
Michael Tomes: 5th place in Language Arts
James Snodgrass: 5th place in Social Studies
Miranda Csordas: 4th place in Science
Hannah Phirman: 4th place in Mathematics and 3rd place in Science
Matthew Callahan: 3rd place in Arts and Humanities and 3rd place in Language Arts
And in Composition, our Mustangs swept the top 3 spots.
    Michelle Goderwis took 3rd place,
Megan Crowley was runner up and Abby Cook was the District Champion!
In addition, BBHS was voted the Hume Award recipient, an award given to the team who shows the best sportsmanship. We're very proud of all our Governor's Cup participants! Good luck at Regionals!
