Academic Teams Sweep St. Henry

The Academic Teams made it a sweep on Tuesday, November 16 with a pair of wins over St. Henry.  The Varsity squad never trailed and Michael Tomes led all scorers with a dozen tossups as we went on to win by a final score of 24-16. After an early 1-1 tie, the JV squad took the lead and never looked back. Evan Herget led all scorers with 6 points and Evan Callahan buzzed in for 5 points in the 17-11 win.  Congratulations Mustangs!

Academic Team Competes at Highlands

The Academic Team picked up a big win on Tuesday, November 9 at Highlands High School.  After trailing 8-7 midway through the first half, the Mustangs went on a 9-0 run and never trailed again. They ultimately earned a 28-19 win.  Michael Tomes led all scorers with 14 points, playing his best match of the season so far. Congratulations Mustangs!

All-Region Honors

On Wednesday, November 3 the Northern Kentucky Cross Country Coaches Association met to select their 2021 All-Region teams. These teams combine all runners in Northern Kentucky and are not based on the class of the school. Congratulations to Emma Bezold and Natalie Reis for being named to the Honorable Mention All-Region team; and to Claire Curtsinger and Amy Klocke who were named to the 1st team All-Region. Grils Cross Team Competes at State Meet

On Saturday, October 20 the Girls Cross Country team finished their season by placing 3rd at the State meet. The race had 229 runners and the girls team put all 7 runners in the top 91 spots. Natalie Reis placed in the top 40 by finishing 37th. For the 3rd straight year, Amy Klocke placed in the top 5 at State by finishing 4th. Claire Curtsinger made history last year by being the first athlete, male or female, in BBHS XC to ever win the individual State Championship. Claire made history again

Boys Cross Country Team Finishes in 3rd Place

A major congratulations goes out to the Boys Cross Country team for their terrific 3rd place performance at the State meet on Saturday, October 30. It was a long journey and the team saved their best for last. Senior Ryan Branch led the way again for the squad as he earned All-State honors for his 3rd straight season with a 9th place finish, the best of his career. Academic Teams Face the Camels

The academic teams traveled to Campbell County High School on Tuesday, October 26 to take on the Camels. Our varsity squad kept it close in the first half but the Camels poured it on in the second half. The Mustangs fell to the Camels 42-13. Michael "Balthazar" Tomes led the Mustangs in scoring with 8 points. The JV team trailed at the half but played and excellent second half, outscoring the Camels by 4. Iron Horsemen Compete

The Iron Horsemen competed at the Battle at the Bolt on Saturday, October 23. There were 24 teams from 5 states involved in the competition. It was an exciting day of ups and downs (no pun intended since this year's competition involved balancing mobile goals and robots). The Iron Horsemen learned a lot and gained much needed experience for this mostly new squad. They were knocked out of the semi-finals by the eventual tournament champs.
