Girls Track Team Prepares for Regional Meet

On Saturday, May 11 in the final track meet before the Regional Meet our girls turned in some nice performances. In the first race of the day our 4 X 800 relay ran well with some very quick splits. This relay was Maria Klocke, Clair Curtsinger, Lia Callahan, and Michelle Goderwis. Talie Neufelder placed in two field events. Nicole Kelley and Alana Nienaber placed in the turbo javelin. Girls Track Team Update

On Tuesday, May 7 the Girls Track Team won the Highlands Gold Medal Meet. They defeated teams from Highlands, Scott, Simon Kenton, Boone County, and Holmes. Two Brossart runners were the leading scorers in the meet. Chloe Hein won the 100 dash, the 200 dash, and was part of two relays. Isabel Besse won the triple jump and placed in both of her hurdle races. It wasn't just Chloe and Isabel who did well; we had athletes place in the top 3 in 16 of the 18 events. BBHS Student Chosen to attend National Student Leadership Summit

Mick Clines has been selected as one of four students to represent Kentucky and the KHSAA at the National Student Leadership Summit in Indianapolis July 22-24. Freshmen Boys Track Team Wins

The Freshmen Boys Track team won the Small School Regional Championship on Friday, May 3. The team was led by:     * Ryan Branch who won 2 gold medals     * Tyler Twehues who scored in both of his races     * Zach Holtz who placed in both the long and high jumps     * Tanner Pentecost who earned 2nd place medal     * And the team of Branch, Twehues, and Cole and Cayden Underwood who sealed the championship with a terrif

Freshmen Girls Track Team Wins Regional Meet

On Friday, May 3 the Freshman Track Regional Meet was held. The Brossart girls ran very well as they placed first or second in 9 of the 15 events. This lead to a first place team fish; their closest competitor was Highlands who finished 42 points behind the Lady Stangs.     *  Claire Curtsinger won the 800,1600 , and was a member of 2 winning relays.     *  Sophie Neufelder won the high jump, the 300 meter hurdles, and was a member of the winning 4 X 400 relay.

Boys Track Team

The Boys Track Team was in action across the state the weekend of April 27. At the meet in Harrison County, Matt Hickman led the way with a very impressive 5th place finish in the 400 meter dash. Andrew Alwell and Dylan Schoulties also did very well in this event. Carter Bain and Luke Verts scored in their distance events. On Saturday, April 27 the Girls Track Team split up to run in two big varsity meets. Half of the team went to Lexington to run against big Lexington schools like Bryan Station, Dunbar, and Tate's Creek. The other half of the team traveled to Cynthiana to participate in the Harrison County Meet. Highlights from the Lexington Meet include two 1st place finishes.
