Lady 'Stangs Softball Team Open 2019 Season

The Lady Stangs opened the 2019 softball season on the road Tuesday. March 19 by defeating the Ludlow Lions 20-2 in 5 innings. The JV was also victorious winning 11-0 in 3 innings. In the Varsity game, Ellie Martin tossed a 3-hitter allowing only 2 unearned runs in the 1st while striking out 5. It was a balanced attack with 10 players scoring and 9 getting at least 1 RBI. Girls Varsity Track And Field Starts

The Girls Varsity Track and Field season started on Tuesday, March 19 at the Boone County Relays.  The first race of the meet, the 4 by 1600 relay was won by the Brossart team of Clair Curtsinger,, Emma Bezold, Ashley Beck, and Maria Klocke. From that point on it was a close meet between Brossart and Highlands with neither team seeming to be able to pull away from the other. Boys Track and Field Team Start Season

On Tuesday, March 19 the Boys Track and Field team competed in the Boone County Invitational. They finished an impressive second place in a very competitive invitational. They were only 1 point behind Ryle and 1 point ahead of Covington Catholic. Wow! Iron Horsemen at State VEX Tournament

Congratulations to the Iron Horsemen for receiving invitations to the State VEX Tournament this past weekend. In the Tournament we finished 9th and 29th on the day. Our Robot 1 made it to the Round of 16 were they were stopped by the eventual tournament champions. Both robots also did well in regards to their driver standings. Boys Indoor Track State Champions

Congratulations to the Boys Indoor Track Team for winning the Class 'A' State Meet this past weekend in Maysville.  Athletes from 17 schools competed in this meet. The Mustangs worked well as a team and won 1st place earning 84 points; 2nd place St. Henry earned 75 points. Way to run, jump, throw, and toss Mustangs!
