Boys and Girls Basketball Teams Play in Championship Game

The Mustangs and Lady 'Stangs will play in the All 'A' Regional Championship!  All 'A' games between Brossart and Paris originally scheduled for Sunday, January 20 have been postponed due to weather. Academic Team Ends Regular Season

The academic team finished out the regular season with a 28-20 win over the Bluebirds of Highlands on Tuesday, January 15. This improved their record to 10-1-1 in league play. Kenton Wassum led all scorers with 10 points, Hannah Phirman scored 5, and James Snodgrass chimed in for points. In a closely contested JV match, our Mustangs came up just a couple short in a 22-20 loss to end the regular season. Mustang Keglers Take to the Lanes

On Tuesday, January 15 the Mustangs of Brossart took on the Wildcats of Pendleton County. While the Wildcats were able to out-bowl the Mustangs in total pin-count; when it came to the Baker rounds; the Mustangs know how to bowl as a team! The Mustangs easily won the Baker rounds. High scorers in individual games were Andrew Maus with a 160 and James Ampfer with 158.

On Wednesday, January 9 the Mustang Keglers lost a close one to Scott. The final was 3-4 games. On Thursday, January 10 the Mustangs were once again at the lanes taking on Dayton. Unfortunately, the Dayton team was just a little too accurate. Bradley Hickman led the Mustangs both days with the high score.

Academic Team Update

The academic team was back in action on Tuesday, January 8 but we were without their leading scorer. The squad held its own in a back and forth match that went into overtime and eventually ended in a 17-17 tie. Captain Hannah Phirman led the scoring with 8 points. In JV action, our Mustangs jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Community Wins at the Crosstown FOODout

 Although the Mustangs Varsity lost 37-60 and the Lady 'Stangs Varsity lost a close one 36-38; the Crosstown FOODout on January 4 and 5 was a huge success for the community!  The Brossart community can hold its head high coming home with the FOODout trophy for bringing in more than 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food! This is more than 3 times the amount collected last year!! Way to go!

Lady 'Stangs Win

The Lady 'Stangs Varsity basketball team won at Newport on Thursday, January 3. The final score was 57-19. Support our girls and more importantly help those in need within the community. Come out to the Crosstown FOODout on Friday, January 4 at the CC Middle School. The Lady 'Stangs will take on the Lady Camels . Games will be played at  @ 4:30 pm, 6:00 pm & 7:30 pm. Mustangs Win a Close One

On Thursday, January 3 the Mustang Varsity  team took on the Bulldogs of Holmes in an exciting, double-overtime game. The Mustangs were able to hold on at the end to win 67-66.
