Girls Soccer Coach Resigns

Tony Dotson has decided to resign from his position as Bishop Brossart's girls head soccer coach after one season, in order to explore other career aspirations.  Brossart went 11-11 in 2019, won the 10th Region All 'A' championship, and went to the finals of the 10th Region tournament.  "We would like to thank coach Dotson for his time at Brossart and for the work he put in with our team," said Kevin Bundy, Brossart athletic director. JV Challenge

The freshmen/sophomore academic team placed 3rd overall at The JV Challenge that was held at Bishop Brossart High School on Saturday, November 9. The quick recall team finished second by  picking up narrow wins over Highlands and Pendleton County but ultimately fell to Campbell County in the finals. Iron Horsemen Compete at Rockcastle

The Iron Horsemen Robotics Team competed at the Rockcastle Classic Tournament on Saturday, November 9. The team finished the qualifying rounds as part of the 8th Alliance heading into the single elimination tournament. The Iron Horsemen met the Alliance from Martha Layne Collins High School in the opening round. This Alliance ended up being the tournament champs. Great job Gentlemen! The Girls Cross Country Team ran another great race on Saturday, November 2 at the KHSAA State Cross Country Meet. The team placed second in the state and two of Lady Stangs placed high enough to make it to the awards stage. Amy Klocke had an outstanding race. She came through against the best runners in the state and had a time under 20 minutes. Only a few Brossart runners have ever placed higher than her fourth-place finish. Academic Team Update

The Academic Team traveled to Newport on Tuesday, October 29 to take on the Wildcats.  They jumped all over the Wildcats from the first buzzer and never looked back. Hannah Phirman led all scorers with 10 points, Matthew Callahan scored 6, and James Snodgrass buzzed in for 5 points en route to a 34-5 win, improving our record to 5-0. 30 Year Tradition Continues

The Boys Cross Country team had a great performance at the Regional meet on Saturday, October 26, carrying on a 30-year tradition by qualifying for the state meet. They ran courageously through torrential rain and muddy conditions. Super sophomore Ryan Branch led the way for the team finishing in 5th place, the highest finish for a sophomore at BBHS in the last 7 years. Girls Cross Country Win Regional Meet

On Saturday, October 26 in the rain the Girls Cross Country Team won the Regional meet for the third year in a row. All of the scoring runners placed in the top 12. That gave our team a huge winning margin of 48 points over the second-place team. Amy Klocke led the way for the team with a first-place finish. The Cheer and Dance Teams competed in the NKCCA competition on Saturday, October 26 at Dixie High School. The Dance Team placed 1st in the Pom Division. The Cheer Team place 2nd in the Gameday Division.  Both teams performed very well! Great job ladies!

Abby Cook Named to 2nd Team All State

The All State Golf First and Second Teams are chosen by points earned in high school invitationals, KGCA All State Championships, Regional Tournaments and the KHSAA State Championship. Invitationals submit their results to the All-State Points Committee comprised of Directors from Golf House Kentucky, the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association, and boys and girls high school coaches.  Congratulations to Abby Cook for being named to the Girls All State Golf Second Team.  She earned 555
