Fine Arts Highlights
Whether your
interested is theater, art, vocal or instrumental music – Brossart
High School has several ways for you to get involved in the arts!
Our Fine Arts
Program showcases the musical, theatrical, and artistic talents of
Brossart students. This marks our 44th year for our
traditional senior musical that began in 1964.
Our NEW
Instrumental program, started in 2006, welcomes all students, grades
9-12, at Brossart High School with prior ability to play an
instrument to join. This auditioned course meets during the school
day where you’ll play in small groups, individually and as an
ensemble. There are several performance opportunities for
instrumental students throughout the school year.
In the works for future years, Brossart’s Drumline will feature an
auditioned group of musicians, grades 9-12, who showcase good rhythm
and wish to learn how to perform percussion instruments.
The chorus
class, started in 2001 and open to upperclassman, exposes students
to choral selections and show tunes and combines with the Theatre
class for a show at the end of the semester in addition to other
performance opportunities.
Our goal at Brossart is to provide students with an excellent
musical high school experience including multiple performance
opportunities while enhancing their appreciation and knowledge of
music.
Once again, the Fine Arts Program
thanks you for your continued support and dedication, which
allows us to bring you quality performances.
Did you know . . . Brossart music students now have a place
to call home as the previous weight room was converted over the
summer 2006 into our first music room. The weight room has been
relocated to the firehouse beside Brossart.
