Fine Arts Courses and
Activities Offered
Whether you are interested in theatre, art, vocal or instrumental music
– Brossart has several ways for you to Get Involved In The Arts!
Art
Open to grades 9-12,
students have the opportunity to take Art all four years and participate
in the Spring Art Show under the artistic direction of Mr. Dave Schuh.
Art/Music
Appreciation
Offered to Freshman
- under the guidance of Mr. Dave Schuh, this ½ credit course exposes
students to the general elements of both art and music.
Chorus
Offered to
upperclassmen, this ½ credit course exposes students to choral
selections and show tunes and combines with the Theatre class for a show
at the end of the semester in addition to other performance
opportunities.
Drama Club
Open to grades 9-12,
under the superb theatrical direction of Ms. Nikki Bradley, auditioned
students rehearse after school and perform a Fall Drama where students
get to showcase their acting talents.
Instrumental Music
Prerequisite: Ability to
play an instrument and summer audition
Open to grades 9-12, if
you have experience playing an instrument we highly encourage you to
consider taking this course. This one credit, auditioned course
meets during the school day where you’ll play in small groups,
individually and as an ensemble. There are several performance
opportunities throughout the school year. Students supply and/or rent
their own instrument.
Music Ministry
Open to students grades
9-12, musicians are encouraged to participate in Brossart’s school
masses with their musical talents, whether it be vocal and/or
instrumental. Students learn the parts of the mass and are exposed
to various church songs. Interested students should contact Mrs.
Donna Heim (Religion) or Mrs. Julie Geiman (Music).
Pep
Band
Prerequisite: Enrolled
in Instrumental Music Class, have the ability to play an instrument and
summer audition
Open to grades 9-12, and
a segment of the Instrumental Music class, this group performs at select
basketball games, pep rallies, and additional performances throughout
the school year. Students supply and/or rent their own instrument.
Show Choir
Offered to grades 9-12,
this select group of Brossart students perform numerous times throughout
the school year at school masses, nursing homes, galas, and much more.
This group meets after school for rehearsals with a concentration in
Broadway music and showtunes. For additional

Senior Play/Musical
Under the direction of
Ms. Nikki Bradley, this 44 year tradition features seniors in a spring
musical as they showcase their singing, acting, and dancing talents.
Theatre Class
Offered to upperclassmen and directed by
Ms. Nikki Bradley, this ½ credit course exposes students to acting,
theatre, and then combines with Chorus class for a show at the end
of the semester.
