The Bishop Brossart Chapter of the Société Honoraire
de Français, the National French Honor Society was formed in 1991.
Since then, we have inducted over 100 students into its ranks.
This Honor Society was begun by the American Association
of Teachers of French:
v
to recognize outstanding students of French and of other
disciplines,
v
to encourage the study of francophone cultures
v
to promote lifelong learning of French
v
to sponsor community awareness of French
Students in the Société must maintain an A average
in French and a B average in their other subjects. They also must
actively participate in the extracurricular activities of both the World
Culture Club and the French program such as:
v
French breakfast during International Week
v
Annual WCC Carnation Sale
v
National French Contest
v
World Language Festival at NKU
v
Beginning and Intermediate French level class visits
