Cross Country- Teams number one runner 53 times…18 first place finishes… Team’s MVR four years in a row… Brossart’s only Regional Champion, Katie won the regional cross country meet in 1996 and 1997… Had top 10 finishes in the state meet all four years, with the highest being third in 1996… Defeated 4578 varsity runners in her career...Held the Brossart course record on every course that the team ran.

Track- 1999 state champion in the 800 with a time of 2:24.11 … Twice part of state championship 4x800 relays… scored 37 points in the state meet for her career...set school record of 5:23.3 for the 1600… Other school records include the 4x800 and three different medley relays… in her career Katie was individual Regional champion in three different events,; 400, 800 and 1600… received the teams “Best Distance Runner” award in 1998 and 1999.

Extra Info-In 2001 was selected “Miss Kentucky Basketball”, one of only few Northern Kentucky players ever to receive this very special award… Katie’s outstanding attitude and personality may be more impressive than her athletic accomplishments.
