Shannon Horan 1994
Track – Shannon was state champion in
the 100 meter dash in 1992, 1993 and 1994…. State champion in 200
meter dash in 1992, 1993 and 1994…. Shannon is the only Brossart
runner to win state championships three years in a row in an
individual event….First Brossart runner to win individual
championships in two different events…. Only runner in Kentucky
girls track to win state championships in the 100 and 200, three
years in a row…. School record holder in the 100 – 12.2…. School
record holder in the 200 – 25.2…. school record holder in the 400 –
59.0….School indoor record
in the 55 meter – 7.5…. Brossart’s all time career points leader
with 895 ¼ …. Three seasons scored over 200 points 237 ¾ /1992, 265
¼ / 1994 and a record 273 ½ in 1993…. Team’s MVR in 1992, 1993 and
1994
Upon Graduation – Shannon had the 25
fast times run by a Brossart runner in the 100, and the top 21 in
the 200…. On the Brossart track Honor Roll Shannon ranked 5th
in long jump with a leap of 15’ 11’’
Extra info – Shannon was surely one of
the greatest sprinters Northern Kentucky has ever seen…. She
received a scholarship to run at Eastern Kentucky University.
